From Academic Year 2010 - 2011
Both at its B.Ed Advanced and M.Ed programmes Choice Based Credit System has been introduced from the current year (i.e. 2010). This enables students to choose from a variety of alternatives in the Foundation papers and Elective papers. We consider knowledge of technology and soft skills essential for teacher development. Therefore an additional course Technology and Other Soft Skills is offered (TOSS). The B.Ed. Advanced programme has been further enhanced with the inclusion of features such as a Bridge Course to empower the learners with proficiency in English, action research, seminar presentations and textbook reviews, event management, etc.
The M.Ed programme at Waymade College of Education is introduced with a view to prepare effective academicians and teaching professionals having sound knowledge of the foundations of education and abilities to meet the global challenges (both social and academic). The course is taught in such a manner that the M.Ed. scholars interact with the B.Ed. students and thereby have 'hands on practice' and also 'theorize practice'.
